This study seeks to provide an initial understanding of how lay Catholics in Indonesia engage with and interpret the texts Holy Scripture within virtual spaces. Specifically, it examines WhatsApp group GEMA Kotabaru using netnography as a research method explore group's interpretation Gospel passage Luke 17:1-6. The findings reveal two distinct patterns interpretation: symbolic literal. Symbolic involves members connecting text metaphors faith religious practices, while literal focuses on extracting precise meaning text, including significance mustard seed.
